The wrestling world lost one of its most beloved and cherished people last year on 24th August 2023, in the form of Bray Wyatt. On top of being a loved figure backstage, he also had a great mind for the business. Many superstars have since paid tribute to the Eater of Worlds, and Jeff Hardy recently did the same as well.
During the latest TNA taping, Hardy was seen wearing face paint that highly resembled the Fiend mask, one of Wyatt’s many characters. The 47-year-old teamed up with his brother, Matt Hardy, and Masha Slamovich to take on Tasha Steelz and The System in a tag team match. These tapings took place on September 14th at the Boeing Center in San Antonio, Texas.
Bray Wyatt passed away of a heart attack last year in August at the age of 36. This tragedy came following a long absence from WWE programming. He had beaten LA Knight in January in what would become his only televised match since his return at Extreme Rules 2022. Following this, he took a medical hiatus from the company in February after a COVID-19 infection exacerbated his heart condition.
Meanwhile, Hardy re-joined TNA earlier this year at the company’s Against All Odds show. He had been away from the company for nearly seven years, spending time in both AEW and WWE. Shortly after his contract with the Jacksonville-based promotion expired, he joined his brother in their former company.

The wrestling world greatly appreciated this gesture by Jeff Hardy. The respect that fans had for the former WWE Champion shot up quite a lot after seeing this tribute. Although the Enigmatic Soul has been surrounded by a lot of controversy throughout his career, it is evident that he always means well for others.
Although the two superstars had vastly different approaches to professional wrestling, they are both adored by the wrestling fanbase. In recent times, The Wyatt Sicks faction has also paid tribute to the New Face of Fear multiple times after their matches.
Netizens were quick to point out that although Bray Wyatt never interacted much with Jeff Hardy, he had a lot of history with his brother, Matt Hardy. The two similar characters formed a tag team together called the Deleter of Worlds and even won the Raw Tag Team Championship.
