Jeffery Simmons can’t wait to trash-talk Caleb Williams. The Tennessee Titans defensive end wants to be the first to make fun of the USC graduate for his habit of painting his nails.
Simmons recently admitted that he can’t wait to play against Caleb Williams. Interestingly, Williams will make his NFL debut against the Titans.
Painted nails. I can't wait to say that to him.Jeffery Simmons said while appearing on The Rich Eisen Show.
Williams drew the irk of social media after he revealed painting nails gave him the strength to win games and the Heisman Trophy (2022). It’s a habit passed down from his mother and continues to indulge in it.
This wasn’t a big deal when he played for Oklahoma, but after transferring to USC, people began to notice Williams painting his nails. After losing a crucial game against Notre Dame, an Irish fan chased Williams down trolling for his unique hobby.
Simmons believes that Williams’ teammates in Chicago, have to make fun of him.
He [Caleb Williams] probably gets smack-talked by his teammates right now, but especially a game like that... It's gonna be the first game of the season. They've got us coming to Chicago. All the hype's gonna be around them.Simmons added.

Williams was also ridiculed for trying out pink nail polish while attending an NBA game. The 22-year-old paid no heed, showing off his nails on draft day.
Jeffery Simmons wants to give Caleb Williams the ‘Welcome to the NFL’ treatment
Williams is projected to be fighting for the Offensive Rookie of The Year award and few analysts even picked him over other seasoned quarterbacks in their top 10 QB list, without taking a professional rep. Simmons is aware that Williams’ is ‘special’ but argues transitioning from college football to the NFL is never easy.
I'm sure [they're] thinking we 'bout to get beat bad. That also makes me even talk more smack [and boosts me up a little more], get into a different mode as well… I'm excited to play him [in] the first game.Jeffery Simmons added.
Bears’ general manager Ryan Poles made every possible effort to help Williams succeed in Chicago. They added veteran wide receiver Keenan Allen and Washington’s Rome Odunze (9th overall pick in 2024 NFL Draft), partnering him with DJ Moore alongside tight end Cole Kmet, and signed former Eagles running back D’Andre Swift.
As Simmons mentioned, the Tennessee Titans will travel to Solider Field in Chicago on September 7 to face the Chicago Bears. According to Sharp Football Analysis, the Bears have the third easiest schedule in 2024.
