NHL brothers Jeremy Swayman and Linus Ullmark will once again reunite on the ice, but this time on the opposite ends. The fans were quite distressed after learning of Ullmark’s trade with the Ottawa Senators in June.
The NHL’s favorite goalies were famous for their bear hugs on the ice after games. Although they’ll be donning separate jerseys, everyone is hoping to see the goalie hug again.
However, Jeremy Swayman has been very vague about the whole thing. When asked if the fans could get another goalie hug, he replied “You’ll have to wait and see.” Swayman, who thought of Linus Ullmark as his mentor, is excited to be back on the ice with him again.
Although, reality doesn’t seem to have hit Swayman yet. He cannot believe Ullmark will now be standing on the opposing end, wearing and playing for different teams.

Swayman further spoke about how Ullmark’s presence on the ice helped him ease into the big league. He said Ullmark made sure to mentor him properly so he would not make the same mistakes the Swedish goalie did.
Swayman is sure that Ullmark will continue to stack up his records, considering the type of person and player he is. Despite being divisional rivals now, Swayman and Ullmark will continue being friends. “I still will call him if I have questions,” Swayman said.
Fans demand a goalie hug as Jeremy Swayman and Linus Ullmark are set to reunite
Boston Bruins goalie Jeremy Swayman is already planning a separate meet-up with Linus Ullmark ahead of their game against the Ottawa Senators. However, Saturday night at TD Garden will be business day as usual.
Fans on social media are demanding one last goalie hug. But they’ll be ecstatic to see this ritual continue even in the future. One X user noted, “We need the goalie hug,” while another said, “I have tears in my eyes.” Check more reactions below:

Oh the humanity. Just play the game, win the game, give us the goalie hug one heartbreaking last time, and come home so we can all try to forget that this especially horrible offseason ever happened.
