Shedeur Sanders had a good 1st half in the second start of his NFL career, but then struggled in the second half, as the likes of Jerry Jeudy and the rest of the offense could not do much against the San Francisco 49ers.
Fans and analysts have commended the rookie QB for his 1st half, but tried to implicate the coaching staff for their lackluster creativity in the 2nd half.
Sanders shot back at reporters for trying to push him to criticize Kevin Stefanski and the rest of the coaches, and took the blame himself, saying he would work with his unit to improve. Those answers effectively shut down any chance of criticism of the former Colorado Buffaloes star and his head coach. Instead, the focus shifted towards star wide receiver Jerry Jeudy.
Video clips show the mercurial wideout venting his frustrations toward his rookie QB, clapping his hands as Sanders listened without much reaction.
Talk to him. You over there clapping your hands at the young fella, it’s his 2nd start… Pat your chest, first homeboy, because you’ve been dropping a lot of passes. You ain’t been making lights out… Shedeur ain’t making all those antics when you dropping the football.

The former Super Bowl champion wide receiver believes Jerry Jeudy was out of his depth when he ranted at Shedeur Sanders. This was not becoming of someone who has been dropping passes and not showing effort.

James Jones believes the Alabama alum needs to be the leader and show accountability for his own actions before going after a QB who has just started his career.
Kevin Stefanski takes a diplomatic approach to Jerry Jeudy’s rant at Shedeur Sanders
The Cleveland Browns have stood their ground when an opposing player tried to be disrespectful. But when it comes to their own players, they have to handle it differently.

When head coach Kevin Stefanski spoke to the media over video conference earlier, he was asked about the Jerry Jeudy and Shedeur Sanders situation.
When you are a family like we are, you can have your disagreements. Sometimes they are for everybody to see, sometimes it’s behind closed doors. But, like a family, we move on, we talk about it. So I’m not worried about it.
Kevin Stefanski replied
His answer does make sense, as it is not known how many times teammates argue with each other during a season. There have been videos and pictures of fights and altercations, but there could be a lot more that the world does not know about.

Stefanski took the diplomatic approach to diffuse the narratives being painted across all spectrums, as the last thing the Browns organization needs is more allegations of their dysfunction.
Former All-Pro gives Shedeur Sanders his praise despite loss
Considering how much media coverage is on Shedeur Sanders, there was no doubt his second game was going to be dissected. When the cast of The Herd were handing out gradings, Gerald McCoy said this:
Shedeur’s drives started inside his own 30… That is extremely difficult for anybody to deal with, let alone a rookie. For what he had to deal with, I thought he handled it well.
Gerald McCoy said
The former All-Pro defensive tackle gave Sanders a C+. He stated that the 49ers were pinning punts deep into the Browns’ territory, making it difficult for a rookie quarterback to get much going, especially in their second start.

Other than that, McCoy believed that Kevin Stefanski was being conservative with his QB, as he probably wanted his 5th round pick to get comfortable playing with his 1st unit.
But he hopes this was the last time the head coach restricts his QB. With a winnable game coming up against the Tennessee Titans, the former D-tackle hopes the Texas native can prove he can be a starting quarterback in this league.
