Cowboys boss Jerry Jones admits there’s no urgency to resign CeeDee Lamb amid inflated WR market
CeeDee Lamb's patience seems to be running out and owner Jerry Jones' statements aren't making it easier for him to stick around in Dallas.

CeeDee Lamb is losing patience as his contract extension remains pending. A recent Jerry Jones statement ticked him off even further, and it seems things might escalate very soon.
Following the end of Thursday’s practice at Oxnard, Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones spoke with the media and answered several questions, from rookie performances to player contracts.
Naturally, CeeDee Lamb’s name popped up, and the Athletic’s Jon Machota posted a photo of Jones with his reply.
I don’t have any urgency to get it done.Jerry Jones said
Lamb saw the post and retweeted it with one small word, “LOL(short for ‘laughing out loud’).”

It’s understandable from the 25-year-old’s point of view because last month Jones made the wideout’s contract a priority ahead of quarterback Dak Prescott. However, Lamb remains without a new contract and continues to skip the Cowboys training camp.

Several videos showed him working privately with former players and specialized trainers to gain more lean muscle to make him even faster.
Could CeeDee Lamb leave the Dallas Cowboys?
Besides Jerry Jones’ latest statement, there was another significant development, this time from Lamb’s end. Eagle-eyed fans noticed a change in the three-time Pro Bowler’s X (previously Twitter) profile.
There was a new but very familiar cover photo flashing on the top of Lamb’s profile. It was a click from his college days with the Oklahoma State Sooners, which wasn’t that big of a deal because plenty of players tend to do the same.
However, it’s the other guy with him that made fans believe that something is going on behind the scenes. Besides Lamb, there was also Marquise Brown, better known as Hollywood Brown, in the picture, who recently switched from Baltimore to the Kansas City Chiefs earlier this year.
The interesting thing is that Brown also changed the cover photo of his X handle as well, posting a picture of himself and Lamb. This is a major development not just because of the timing but also because two players hinting at a possible reunion might just shake things up in the wide receiver market.

Lamb and Brown were a wide receiver duo at Oklahoma for two seasons, 2017 and 2018. Their combination recorded more than 4350 yards and 35 touchdowns from 243 receptions.
In 2018, the Sooners made it to the CFP Semifinal at the Orange Bowl. They eventually lost the game to the Alabama Crimson Tide. While Lamb stuck around for another year, Brown announced for the NFL draft in 2019 was picked up by the Arizona Cardinals in the first round.
