Looks like Jerry Jones could not tolerate being compared to US President Joe Biden as he blasted Stephen A. Smith for doing it. Amid the Dallas Cowboys’ struggle at 3-7 record, fans and pundits have been directing the blame solely at the 82-year-old owner, who is trying his best to maintain composure, but lost his cool after listening to Smith’s criticism.
After the Cowboys sustained the seventh loss of the season in the humiliating 34-10 defeat by the hands of Houston Texans, the ESPN analyst gave his unfiltered take on the team’s situation currently, striking a strange connection to the politics of Biden. He claimed that he is getting worries for Jones the same way he was for Biden “before he backed out of running for reelection.”
While fans had no option but to agree to the sad reality, Jones did not let it go easily. During his recent appearance on 105.3 The Fan radio show, he called out Smith over the unnecessary Biden comparison.

While the comparison may have been unnecessary, there’s no denying that the Cowboys are losing this season with a five-game losing streak and no hopes for playoffs even in the rearview.
Jerry Jones faces fan backlash over management choices
While the 82-year-old owner of the NFL’s richest team is affirmative about his ability to handle the Cowboys, fans seem to have hit the wall of frustration. They reportedly started a petition titled “Make Jerry Jones Retire” on social media, seeking 25 signatures for a go-ahead.
This year, Jones particularly attracted a boatload of hatred and criticism from fans over many controversial decisions, such as extending Mike McCarthy against pundits’ and fans’ opinions, not pursuing Derrick Henry for bizarre financial reasons, and many more.
Although there’s no doubt Jones led the Cowboys to glory, it has been rather financial glory than championships. He turned the franchise into a $10 billion empire but their Super Bowl drought has now stretched to nearly three decades, leading fans to believe that this issue is of greater significance, placing Jones firmly on the hot seat.
