Jerry Jones faces backlash over stadium sunlight controversy

For hosting the boxing matchup, Jones had made special arrangements for the fighters to not get blinded by the sunlight flashing inside the stadium. He arranged for curtains to be hung which has led to huge controversy on social media, as fans argued that Jones never makes such arrangements for his NFL teams when the Cowboys players really need it.

The Cowboys star wide receiver CeeDee Lamb was blinded by the sunlight and he failed to make a touchdown catch which could have brought the team a victory on Sunday against the Philadelphia Eagles. He even stated in a post-game media interaction that he certainly supports if the team puts up curtains.

However, the 82-year-old denied the idea asserting that the AT&T stadium is built to replicate outdoors. Installing curtains would compromise the stadium’s design, which is specially created to enhance the outdoor field experience. For this reason, he opposes any sun-blocking solutions.
