The Dallas Cowboys are a mess, as is evident from their games so far. Even though they sport a .500 record, their three wins were unconvincing.
Their three losses, though, showed that the team has some serious problems on both sides of the ball. With owner Jerry Jones facing the brunt of fans and the media, friend and NBA legend Shaquille O’Neal has a solution to one of their glaring problems.
The Big Aristotle shot his recent episode of The Big Podcast with Shaq and brought in fellow LSU alumni and Super Bowl-winning champion running back Leonard Fournette as a guest. After introducing Fournette and then talking about his LSU days, O’Neal asked for the camera and gave a message to the Cowboys owner.
Shaquille O’Neal reiterated that he has always been a Dallas Cowboys fan and thus will only want their best. He, and many followers of the game, knows all too well that the team needs a stud running back to help their offense.

The lack of running has stunted the progress of the offense. NFL GOAT Tom Brady made it clear that the inability to run the ball is not helping the Cowboys offense gain ground. It is bringing all the pressure on Dak Prescott, the offensive line, and his receivers to make something out of it. But NFL games are about deception.
Without a running game, opposition defenders can sit back on every snap and blanket the receivers. Those schemes have led Prescott to throw multiple picks this season. Leonard Fournette might be able to alleviate that problem right away.
Leonard Fournette will be an upgrade for Dallas Cowboys’ run game
The former Tampa Bay Buccaneers star has been a free agent after being released by the Buffalo Bills last season. He did not have much of an impact on the team featuring other stud runners. But with the way the Dallas Cowboys are faring, he will be an immediate upgrade over their existing core.
The current crop has amassed a grand total of 395 yards and just one touchdown, that too when adding up contributions from all four of them. Each of the top 20 running backs in the league cover at least 80% of those yards on their own, indicating that the Cowboys’ run game needs a major uplift. Leonard Fournette could be the bell cow as his hard running style can punch holes.
Then they can hand it to Rico Dowdle to punish them a bit more and hand it to Ezekiel Elliott to score the points in the end zone. But as of now, they are not even being able to reach the end zone with ease. Maybe Jerry Jones ought to listen to his friend.
