The former Governor of Minnesota is all but certain that Sheamus will cement his place into the WWE HOF after reaching this major milestone.

Sheamus came oh-so-close to winning the Intercontinental Championship last weekend. At Saturday Night’s Main Event on NBC, The Celtic Warrior succumbed to Bron Breakker as the latter continued to reign supreme. After the match, the Irishman, all gloomy and holding his head down, got a picture clicked with Jesse Ventura, captioning he was robbed.

In response, The Body offered some words of wisdom for the sullen grappler. Taking to X, Ventura wrote that nothing is going to preclude the Cabra-born ‘Fella’ from eventually getting his hands on the only accolade that has evaded him his entire WWE career—the IC title. And that’s needed to crown Sheamus as a Grand Slam Champion in WWE.

Jesse claimed at the start of SNME last Saturday that he was rooting for Sheamus. Henceforth, Mr. Governor was upset at how the match officiating let the Irish down. On a couple of occasions when Sheamus gained near pinfall on Bron, Ventura critiqued on-air that the referee was incompetent at his job.

Nonetheless, Breakker weathered the storm and denied the veteran any chance to celebrate. In the aftermath, The Great White acknowledged Breakker’s tenacity. Recalling a ringside bump from their bout, Sheamus claimed that the Steiner descendant put him through the hardest spear that he’s endured to date.

The fans were visibly upset at seeing the 47-year-old fall short of glory once again. The erstwhile League of Nations member has been chasing the Intercontinental title for years. Earlier on, it was Gunther who kept troubling the former World Champion. And now, it’s The Unpredictable Badass, Bron Breakker.

Did Sheamus feel burned out early into his WWE career on the main roster?

Having been in WWE since 2009, Sheamus is one of the most accomplished names in the business. But there was a point early on in his career, circa 2010s, where things really started to get into his head. Consequently, his passion for wrestling dwindled.

It stayed the same until he was put in a lengthy feud with Claudio Castagnoli, fka Cesaro. The two men were all over the place in 2016, where they engaged in an enthralling best-of-seven series. Even though the decisive match ended in a stalemate, Cesaro and Sheamus transitioned into a tag team named The Bar.

By that point in time, the Red-headed Juggernaut had his love for the game restored, Sheamus told Chris Van Vliet on Insight. The Irish-Swiss duo knew that they just didn’t set the bar, they were The Bar. These heavy hitters complemented their wrestling styles and went on to become 5-time tag team champs.
