What is a sight capable of bringing a New Yorker to tears? Is it getting the perfect slice of pizza after an eventful night out or is it watching their favorite football team finally have a great quarterback-wide receiver duo? It ought to be the latter after the New York Jets acquired Davante Adams from the Las Vegas Raiders reuniting him with Aaron Rodgers.

Earlier on Friday, Davante Adams made his debut at the Jets practice facility. The team posted Aaron Rodgers throwing a pass to Adams who catches it as he is mid-air on its X (formerly known as Twitter) account.

This sight has fans buzzing and excited once again for Jets football. The fans have had a rollercoaster ride so far this season. However, this time, the enthusiasm amongst the fanbase is higher than it was in comparison to Rodgers’ return after his Achilles injury.

The New York Jets have a winning formula on offense with the addition of Davante Adams

Aaron Rodgers and his WR1 have played together for 8 years and connected for 7,517 yards and 68 touchdowns. When they play alongside, good things happen.

Rodgers won back-to-back MVP awards in 2020 and 2021, the same years that Adams made consecutive first-team All-Pro appearances with 238 catches for 2,927 yards and 29 touchdowns.

With the excitement in MetLife Stadium at an all-time high, so are the expectations from the Jets. The team has gone ‘all-in’ and Woody Johnson expects to see the results instantaneously. Within the span of 2 weeks, the team appointed a new interim head coach, and offensive play caller, and reunited the best duo in football.

The Jets have the penultimate spot in the AFC East having won 2 games and lost 4. In the coming weeks, their schedule is manageable and they should be able to win at least 9 of the remaining 11 games. The new-look Jets will debut on Sunday night as they go up against Mike Tomlin and the Pittsburgh Steelers at Acrisure Stadium in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
