Even though Aaron Rodgers has lately been quite detached from the Jets nation, the gang green fans still have faith in the veteran quarterback to lead them to a Super Bowl win.

The New York Jets fans still believe that Aaron Rodgers is the answer to their long wait for a Super Bowl. A recent fan moment hinted as such.
Rodgers was at Lake Tahoe on Wednesday to attend the inaugural day of the American Century Championship. It’s an annual celebrity golf tournament that invites popular faces from various backgrounds, including sports, entertainment, and politics.
NBC Sports Bay Area shared a video of an emotional fan wearing Aaron Rodgers’ No. 8 Jets jersey, reminding the 40-year-old about the reason why he was brought to the Big Apple franchise.

An amused Rodgers walked away from the already awkward encounter. It’s a stark reminder of how much the gang green faithful desire the coveted Lombardi Trophy because it has been a while since they lifted it.
One has to roll back time to the iconic Joe Namath (Broadway Joe), who led the Jets to a Super Bowl win in 1969. Since then, the Jets have only made it as far as the conference championship round four times.

However, their recent history has been pretty abysmal. Woody Johnson’s team failed to qualify for post-season football in the last decade. They last appeared in a playoff game in the 2010 season, which was the only time since 1998 that they won 11 games in the regular season.
Analyst predicts Jets could pose a threat to the Chiefs if Aaron Rodgers stays healthy
Jets signed Rodgers because of his experience of winning a Super Bowl (with the Green Bay Packers) and the leadership skills that the team was sorely lacking. The 4-time NFL MVP has the best passer rating of any active quarterback in the league (103.6), which is marginally better than Chiefs Patrick Mahomes (103.5). However, the three-time Super Bowl winner has played only 7 seasons compared to Rodgers’ 19.

The Jets have a stacked offense with Pro Bowl weapons like Garrett Wilson and Breece Hall. Analyst Warren Sharp theorized that if Rodgers can keep himself fit, then under his leadership, the Jets can challenge the Chiefs.
I think if Aaron [Rodgers] is back and playing at his 100%, the Jets are scary. I don’t know how Robert Saleh has gotten the Jets to be so focused and to have a decent enough record despite the ridiculously poor quarterback play they’ve had to deal with for years.Sharp said while appearing on the Rich Eisen Show.

First, they need to sort out the locker room. There’s still no clarity on how much Rodgers’ absence from the mandatory minicamp affected the players’ confidence in the veteran.
