Could Aaron Rodgers be looking at his final days in the league as the New York Jets enter Week 18? Well, it seems like that. Interestingly, he may be taking his friend Davante Adams along with him, whom he only introduced to the Green Gang this season.
Earlier in November before the Jets fired General Manager Joe Douglas, there were rumors that owner Woody Johnson’s relationship with Rodgers had deteriorated to such a point that he wanted to bench the veteran quarterback. Though it didn’t happen, their relationship was scarred forever.
uStadium reported on Tuesday that the ten-time Pro Bowler and Johnson’s relationship has deteriorated beyond the point of repair. Following the dismissal 4-12 finish to 2024, the 77-year-old is leaning towards parting ways with the quarterback. The sad part is that Johnson is also contemplating Adams’ addition to the team and may also decide to release him next offseason.
Barring an unforeseen change, the Jets are expected to move on from QB Aaron Rodgers and WR Davante Adams this offseason. Source tells us the relationship between owner Woody Johnson and Rodgers is ‘irreparable.‘

The Jets had high expectations with the addition of Adams to the team, especially when the team was struggling on the field and had just parted ways with former head coach Robert Saleh. However, his reputation did not precede him, and he stumbled on the field just like his friend Rodgers.
Aaron Rodgers penalized 15-yards for unnecessary roughness against Bills
This report by uStadium came shortly after the four-time NFL MVP made headlines for unnecessary roughness against the Super Bowl-contending Buffalo Bills. Rodgers, who was looking forward to making history by recording his 500th touchdown, ended up posting his worst game.

After being sacked four times, he surpassed Tom Brady’s infamous record of highest sacks of 565 and threw two interceptions with zero touchdowns. If that wasn’t enough, he was also flagged in the third quarter for unnecessary roughness on pushing the opposing cornerback Christian Benford out of bounds after a 24-year return.
He received a 15-yard penalty for the late hit and may be fined by the league up to $11,255 as it was his first on-field penalty. He finished the humiliating game by completing 12 out of 18 passes for 118 yards and two interceptions.
