When Aaron Rodgers sustained a torn ACL injury at the age of 39, it seemed like the end of his career in the NFL. That is to say, even if he returned he wouldn’t have played at the standards he used to. It seems that’s exactly what happened as the New York Jets head coach talked about it despite the impressive 26-3 feat.

There once was a time when Rodgers was counted among the legendary quarterback names in the league. Though he remains one of them, he hasn’t been able to play at that standard for many years now, until week 3 of the 2024 season. Nonetheless, there was something that went unnoticed by the fans’ eyes. However, head coach Saleh recognized it and addressed it during the post-game press conference.

While talking to the media, HC Saleh admitted that even though Rodgers led the Jets to a remarkable and dominating feat in week 3, he doesn’t have the mobility he used to have anymore.

He showed the mobile ability that we've been seeing throughout training camp. He may not be what he used to be, but he still has plenty in those legs, and his arm is still 30, and his mind is still operating at a high level. He was definitely impressive today.

This isn’t the first time New York’s head coach addressed his veteran quarterback’s mobility. He also addressed it during the training camp, when the quarterback had fully recovered from his serious ACL injury and joined his team in full participation.

Aaron Rodgers revealed feeling rather calm and confident ahead of home game

Even though he might not be as mobile as he used, Rodgers remains a threat to his opponents. Entering the 2024 season, he had a fear of repeating the same fate as last season when he got injured. But fortunately, he has been healthy for three games now.

I felt a really good calm about it, honestly, I didn't think a whole lot about it.

For week 3’s game, he was particularly nervous because it was the first game back at the MetLife stadium which is the Green Gang’s home stadium. He shared that while coming back to the home stadium was indeed emotional, he had confidence in himself and the team to pull off the game without any injury.

Additionally, the four-time NFL MVP revealed that the opening game took away most of his fear which is why, when week 3 came, he was a little bit more relaxed.
