Sauce Gardner's infatuation with Golf is relatively new but even in the short amount of time the Jets corner has realized that it's much harder then it looks.

A stern caution to those who believe golf is an easy sport to master, but not in Sauce Gardner’s eyes. Gardner claimed it could be harder than the sport he loves the most.

The New York Jets cornerback recently took golf as a hobby besides his daily Twitch streams. Infatuated by the intricacies of the sport, Gardner felt compelled to give it a shot.

From practicing in front of a modified Wii Golf course to smashing out golf balls in extreme Miami weather, the 23-year-old showed grit in learning the basics of the sport. However, eventually, Gardner concluded that golf might be one of the hardest sports out there, maybe even harder than football.

Never thought I would say this, but Golf is harder than football.
Sauce Gardner wrote on X (formerly Twitter).

His conclusion does make a lot of sense. It is hard to successfully hit a small white golf ball into a hole placed in the distance. If the player doesn’t have the patience and the skill, then it’s not their cup of tea.

Golf may be tougher, but Sauce Gardner needs to bring his A-game to football if he wants to win a Super Bowl

The Jets may be one of the worst teams offensively, unanimously ranking outside of the top in most offensive categories, but their defense and secondary are top-notch. PFF ranked the Jets’ offensive line as the fifth-best in the league, and the secondary bagged the top spot.

One of the main reasons for such a stingy defense that forced 27 turnovers last season was Sauce Gardner and his partner in crime, DJ Reed. The two players together recorded 119 tackles and 20 pass deflections.

The Jets require similar performances from both of them in the new season. With Michael Carter as the slot back, the trio are a force to be reckoned with.

It's known across the league that we're considered the best CB trio. It's a testament to how those guys work, they really put in the work every day.
Reed repeated the same per the Jets’ official website.

Reed praised Gardner and claimed that the Cincinnati graduate was the best corner in the league.

I think he's the best cornerback at the catch point. When the ball is in the air, getting the ball out. He's the leader. He's the best in the league.
DJ Reed said.

The 2022 4th overall pick has bagged two All-Pro and a Rookie Defensive Player of the Year titles.
