Jey Uso has broken out as a singles star ever since separating from the Bloodline in 2023. He has become a fan-favorite and has a huge young fanbase thanks to his iconic catchphrase, colorful attire, and incredible character work. A video of such a fan overjoyed to see his favorite win the Intercontinental Championship is currently going viral on social media.
Uso recently reacted to this video on his X account. The video featured a young boy wearing Yeet merchandise rolling all over the floor in excitement. He held his head in anticipation as the 39-year-old went for the pin and nearly broke down when his favorite wrestler picked up the victory and the prestigious title. Just like his fan, the 10x Tag Team Champion had become highly emotional after the show went off the air.
Uso had a tough journey leading to his first singles title in WWE. He participated in the #1 Contender Tournament for the IC title and had to win a Triple Threat against Karrion Kross and Kofi Kingston to proceed to the finals. Things did not get easy for him, as he then had to beat Braun Strowman, Pete Dunne, and Ilja Dragunov in a fatal-4-way to finally get his shot at then-champion Bron Breakker. The two superstars also had an intense confrontation leading up to their match.
Jey Uso has been involved in a feud against Judgment Day alongside the Terror Twins, Rhea Ripley and Damian Priest. Thus, many expected the faction to interfere in the championship match. However, this was not the case. The 10x Tag Team Champion speared his opponent into the barricade and once again in the ring. He finally picked up the victory after a diving splash.
Tommy Dreamer speaks on Bron Breakker’s future after losing his Intercontinental Championship to Jey Uso
Bron Breakker losing his Intercontinental Championship to Jey Uso so early on in his reign was highly unexpected, especially in the Triple H era. This was only the second title defense of his first championship on the main roster. While some fans thought that this would bury the former NXT Champion, Tommy Dreamer seems to disagree.
Speaking on Busted Open After Dark, Dreamer did not doubt that Breakker would one day go on to become WWE Champion one day, maybe even several times. The 53-year-old speculated that he could even go on to the main event of WrestleMania one day.
I've said it before and I'll say it again, I'll 100% lay money on the line that Bron Breakker will be a WWE World Champion before his career is done in the WWE. Maybe several times. I do think he's a main-eventer for WWE. By saying main-eventer means main event WrestleMania.Tommy Dreamer on Busted Open After Dark
Breakker is an extraordinary physical specimen, perhaps the only one who can come close to Brock Lesnar. His in-ring skills are phenomenal, and his character work has greatly improved over the past two years. There is no doubt that the Steiner has a bright future in WWE.
