Jimmy Butler and Kaitlin Nowak are currently in the middle of a legal battle surrounding their children’s financial support. Amid the deeply complex lawsuit, a majority of the internet has seemingly picked a side unfavorable to the NBA legend’s baby mother. Consequently, Nowak claps back at the critics in her Instagram story.
All the ado started from Kaitlin Nowak‘s Instagram upload on 12th November 2024, her son Kian‘s birthday post. While sent out some time ago, the mother of three has been receiving backlash for the past couple of days over the litigation with ex-Jimmy Butler.
In a recent story, Nowak addressed the public scrutiny in a sarcastic message for the users. She asked the concerned to take their opinions to any post other than the one featuring her children. Furthermore, she called out the ‘men in her DMs’ who were expressive with their pities.
The chaotic lawsuit, initiated by Jimmy Butler, has proved to be a hassle for both individuals. Per reports, the NBA star challenged Nowak’s demand for an extra $10,000 reasoning it with the requirement of a nanny.
That is, while Butler was contributing a substantial $55,000 on child support for their children – Rylee, Brayan, and Kian. The numbers seemed excessive to the Heat star, whose lawyers claimed that Nowak was unwilling to change her employment status.

The public battle resurfaced the tensions between Nowak and Butler’s relationship that started in 2019. Suffice it to say, Butler was not safe from scrutiny as the public shunned him for his career decisions with the Miami Heat. The NBA star expressed dissatisfaction with his current team, asking for a trade.

Talking about his kids, he credited them for keeping him contain his crisp mindset that sets everything to place. In a vulnerable state, he expressed donning the role of a father as he sheds his NBA athlete in front of his kids. That, he mentioned, was due to his children’s uncaring of the mishaps Butler did on the court.
Apart from the series, Butler is highly selective of his and his family’s public appearances. Butler’s baby mother, Kaitlin Nowak, was also seldom seen with the star in public despite the two dating since 2019. The same goes for his children.
