The 49ers – Titans game was a total roller-coaster ride for the San Francisco fans. Everybody saw both – the good and the bad side of QB Jimmy Garoppolo in the game against the Titans. Even after having a solid start, the 49ers lost 20-17 to the Tennessee Titans.

Kimberley Martin asked Ryan Clark on Get Up whether last night’s game – “was light night endorsement of Titans or indictment of Jimmy Garoppolo? “. Ryan Clark responded saying, “It was an indictment on Jimmy G.” Clark feels that Jimmy Garoppolo let the team down despite having an offense with great receivers and tight ends and the defense also playing up to the mark.

Garoppolo’s INT made things worse for the 49ers

The 49ers led 7-0 and it looked like they were going to destroy the Titans. But then Garoppolo’s implosion started. Garoppolo threw an interception in the end zone, forcing a throw when Janoris Jenkins had great coverage on TE George Kittle. This was just the beginning of Garoppolo’s mistakes.

Garoppolo threw a second interception deep in 49ers territory. He missed a wide-open Kyle Juszczyk on a throw that could have resulted in a touchdown. Then, he misfired on a fourth-down pass to Brandon Aiyuk that led to a frustrated reaction from Kyle Shanahan. This turned a 7-0 lead turned into a 17-10 deficit.

Where is Trey Lance? – Ryan Clark

The question that is troubling Ryan Clark is – ‘Why isn’t Trey Lance playing at QB?’. Clark said that everyone know Jimmy Garoppolo is not the future of the 49ers. There is nothing that Garoppolo can do which will elevate the San Francisco 49ers.

“You drafted a guy (Trey Lance) third overall. And that dude can’t even play,” said Clark. “He can’t get an opportunity to get on the field.” Ryan Clark thinks that the 49ers are wasting Trey Lance’s potential by not giving him a start.

“This is a team that can win a Super Bowl, a team that could contend for the NFC. And because of who they have at QB, they cannot!” added Clark.

The 49ers have a lot going for them and should easily be in the playoffs. But the team’s going to be in a tough spot if they don’t know what to expect from Jimmy Garoppolo. One might wonder whether Trey Lance might be the better QB for the 49ers than Garoppolo.
