(Video) Stupidity? Jimmy Horn Jr. showing a peace sign to defender has referee bizarrely taking points off Colorado
Colorado lost a touchdown because Jimmy Horn Jr. had to be smarty pants and taunt the Bearcats defense right before scoring it.

For the most part, Jimmy Horn Jr. has been a great servant for the Colorado Buffaloes. However, on Saturday, his cockiness got the better of him.
On the first drive of the game, Horn received a pass from quarterback Shedeur Sanders, and he could have had a 57-yard touchdown. Yet he foolishly flashed the peace sign at the Cincinnati Bearcats defense to mock them right before walking into the endzone.
Folsom Park erupted with the celebration, but it was cut short quickly. The referee, through his microphone, overturned the touchdown because of Horn’s gesture. They flagged him for unsportsmanlike conduct.
One of the stupidest penalties in college football is that throwing up the peace sign at a defender takes points off the board.

Horn missed one game this season through injury before the Buffs bye week. So far, he recorded 28 catches for 356 yards and a touchdown.
Fan uproar after the officials disallowed Jimmy Horn Jr.’s touchdown
Teams don’t have the luxury to challenge in these kinds of scenarios. So, when the referee decided that the touchdown had to be scrapped because of Jimmy Horn Jr.’s unnecessary taunting, the situation got dicey inside the stadium.
Colorado fans weren’t happy with the decision at all, and they started to throw various objects onto the side of the field to vent their frustration. It was reminiscent of last week’s incident from the Texas-Georgia game when the referee reversed his original decision.
Nothing like that happened this time because the Buffs’ head coach, Deion Sanders, stepped in. The cameras caught him trying to calm the agitated fans down so that they could resume the game.

Colorado dominates Cincinnati in the first half
It did not take long for Colorado to shake off the setback as Sanders completed a three-yard touchdown pass to Travis Hunter and then scored one by himself shortly before the first quarter ended.
The Bearcats scored a couple of TDs as well. Quarterback Brendan Sorsby found Tony Johnson and then made one for Evan Pryor.
Colorado gave an instant reply. After Alejandro Mata increased the lead through a field goal, Sanders connected with Hunter once more for a 34-yard run with just a handful of seconds left until the halftime whistle.

Coach Prime’s training is finally paying off. Since moving to the Big 12, they have been one of the teams to beat.
"I think the team to watch out for is Colorado. One of the things that Deion told me this summer was he finally had 2 coordinators that believe like he believe”

The Buffaloes are currently 5-2 following their commanding victory over Arizona last week. They are close to securing their sixth. The last time they achieved this many wins was back in 2016, when they lost in the Almo Bowl in the postseason.
