Going into the intense bout, the ‘Samurai’ was seen as the betting favorite and carried high expectations from his fans. He certainly proved his dominance once again as he finished Rountree impressively in the final round of the fight.

In the first round, Rountree appeared incredibly focused and unleashed sharp combinations that effectively pushed back Prochazka. The former title contender displayed exceptional technique and power, managing to frustrate the Czech fighter and take the early lead. His punches were powerful, while his leg kicks connected perfectly as Prochazka struggled desperately to find a stable footing.

Jiri Prochazka, known for his unorthodox style, looked confused and even slipped multiple times, which was called out by the commentators. Rountree carried a similar momentum in the second round and was successful in landing some brutal body shots. Prochazka had some success with his jab and kicks, but the round clearly went to Rountree on all cards.

In his previous bout, Rountree secured a dominant unanimous decision victory over Jamahal Hill and aimed to repeat that strategy. A victory over Prochazka could have easily earned Rountree another opportunity at the light heavyweight title. However, in the third round, Prochazka sensed his prey, increased his pressure, and unleashed chaotic exchanges against Rountree without caution.

Rountree began showing signs of fatigue under Prochazka’s relentless attack on both body and head. Although Rountree landed a few strong counter shots, Prochazka’s incredible durability and composure proved far too overwhelming to overcome. The fight ended dramatically when Prochazka landed a devastating left hand near the cage, knocking Rountree out cold at 3:04.
