Bronny James is the most controversial 2nd round pick in the NBA right now. Playing in the NBA G League this summer, James Jr. hasn’t been able to put up the expected numbers. The star kid was rather trolled for his 2 first games and for blowing out on the defense lately.

The star kid has picked up attention more than any other 2nd round pick. Averaging only 4 to 8 points in his first 3 games, the Lakers second-round pick is scrutinized every upcoming game. With a new coach on the sideline, the Lakers are yet to see the best out of him.

I thought in his 3rd game, in the Cali Classic, he made 8 or 9 good defensive plays. At the USA-Canada exhibition game, we saw Lou Dort single-handedly break the 8th possession of the game. I believe Bronny is going to be that guy.

Lou Dort had broken down the offense in the USA vs. Canada exhibition game. With him on the defense, it was difficult to build offense. James Jr. is believed to develop a game like Dort in the future. Laker’s rookie coach is also emphasizing developing the different skills of James Jr. this offseason.

Living up to what his father has done is quite a goal for the star kid. Bronny James has to shine consistently on either of the ends to prove his capabilities in the NBA. Now, James Jr. might get trained according to the NBA standards with the Lakers bringing up their player development program this offseason.

Bronny James shared his feelings and what he is looking forward to in the Summer League after his 3rd game. The star kid has been a discussion of debate right from the day he entered the draft this year. NBA stars and analysts have been showing their support for James Jr. amidst all the trolls and criticism. The star kid started with just 4 points on the sheet in his first game and fell prey to trolls after falling in defense.

The Lakers and most of the NBA are positive about the rookie’s abilities and are looking forward him to showing his A game. Many suggest that it is his nerves and performance pressure that refrains him from playing his game. Being on the defensive end and having a good 3-point shot, Bronny James can be a crucial player off the bench in the NBA.
