Los Angeles is one of the favorite destinations for people to live. Hollywood and a bustling entertainment industry means the who’s who of the celebrity world live there. Along with them, JJ Redick also has taken up residence since becoming the head coach of the Los Angeles Lakers.
He lives in the Pacific Palisades neighborhood along with his wife Chelsea Reddick and their two sons Knox and Kai. So far, the season has seen them adjust to the Los Angeles lifestyle and getting along with their neighbors.
However, they were forced to evacuate their home along with their extended family as wildfires ravaged the area. The BBC reported that 30,000 people were asked to leave the area as the fires continued to destroy homes and other structures.
After tonight’s road loss to the Dallas Mavericks, reporters at the post-game press conference quizzed the first-year head coach about the situation back home. He replied, trying to stay calm amidst the growing fear of losing their home.
I just want to acknowledge and send thoughts and prayers to everyone in the Palisade’s right now. It’s where I live. My family and my wife’s family, they’ve evacuated. I know that a lot of people are freaking out right now, including my family. Hope everybody stays safe.

The Los Angeles Lakers players and staff will be returning home worrying about the situation. The situation is not a worry for people in San Francisco as they are far away from the fires. Even then, after tonight’s game at home, Steve Kerr said this.
Before I start, I wanted to send my thoughts and condolences to everybody in Los Angeles dealing with the fires. My mom lives in Pacific Palisades. She had to evacuate.

State departments are trying to minimize the damage in their attempts to tend to the Los Angeles fire. However, it is likely that those in the Pacific Palisades area will lose their homes if the fires continue to move forward.
