The seriousness of the injury has kept everyone on their toes. Meanwhile, Jo-Wilfred Tsonga, one of Djokovic’s rivals on the tour has analyzed the extent of the Serbina’s injury. Tsonga feels that it is a serious problem and will take some time to heal. He further claimed that if Djokovic undergoes surgery, it will take at least six weeks for him to recover.

If he had to have surgery, in my own experience the doctors told me it was a minimum of six weeks to recover from the operation. So you have to assume that not much will happen for six weeks. Afterwards it also depends on the severity of the lesion, is it a very small lesion, does it really require surgical intervention? We don't know that yet, but we will find out in the coming weeks.

The 24-time Grand Slam champion has not been able to win a single tournament so far and when he was looking in good rhythm, an injury has bogged him down. With Djokovic injuring his knee, he faces a threat of missing The Championships as well.

And in the worst case, the Serbian might even miss out on the Paris Olympics, which Djokovic has been waiting for so long. His dream to win a gold medal at the Games will be shattered. However, as there is an ample amount of time before the Olympics, Djokovic and his fans as well as the tennis fraternity will be hoping for him to recover and return to the tour.

In case you missed!
