The Thursday Night Football match ended in a disappointment for the Cincinnati Bengals, as they were outscored by the Baltimore Ravens by a score of one point. This game would not only have elevated the Bengals to a 5-5 season record but also established their first victory against a team with a winning record.

Though many argued that the loss wasn’t the Bengals’ fault as they went for the two-point conversation in final 38 seconds of the game, quarterback Joe Burrow realised they weren’t good enough for a victory. He also admitted, it’s a “tough pill to shallow.”

Look at how we are playing, and then you look at Trey Hendrickson and how he is playing, yeah, it’s a tough pill to swallow. We had our opportunities, obviously. We know it’s tough, and you feel like you’re playing well enough to win, and you’re not. But there’s always more to do.

Joe Burrow said

Individually, Burrow outshined his opposing quarterback, Lamar Jackson after recording 428 passing yards and four touchdowns; meanwhile the latter recorded 290 yards and four touchdowns. Yet, after failing the two-point conversion play, Jackson just had to wait for the clock to run out to secure a victory and improving to 7-3 record.

You just be ready when your opportunity comes and presents itself and be ready to make a play. You never know when it’s going to come [or] what situation it’s going to be in. In backups, you never know when your opportunity presents itself when guys go down, you’ve got to go take advantage of it and go from there.

Joe Burrow added

Although Burrow holds himself and his team to high expectations, he truly gave his all in the game against Baltimore. Dispute taking 13 quarterback hits– many of which should have been penalized, he gave a tough competition to the top-ranked offense with a stellar performance.
