The Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow finally calmed the thumping hearts worried about his injury, after he hit his hand hard on the turf in the fourth quarter of Sunday Night Football Game. Although the Bengals came out victorious, the path certainly wasn’t as easy as they expected.

After how last season ended due to his wrist injury, Burrow had all the fans sitting on the edge of their seats when he went into the Bengals’ medical tent during the game against the New York Giants. In the final quarter of the game, New York’s defensive end Brian Burns sacked the quarterback on the third down, which resulted in him hitting his head on the turf with huge force.

He was initially provided medical help, as everyone thought it was a concussion. Burrow even underwent concussion protocol before returning to the football field in the final three minutes remaining in the game. Fortunately, he didn’t sustain any serious injuries and assured fans about his health later in the post-game press conference.

They just came and told me and told they needed to evaluate me for a concussion. It was news to me [because] I felt fine, I just had the wind knocked out of me a little bit.

Joe Burrow admits offense needs improvement despite the 17-7 victory

Even though the Bengals succeeded with a win, quarterback Burrow labeled it as an “ugly win,” especially from the offensive line’s perspective. He completed the game with 19-out-28 passes for 208 yards and no passing touchdown. They are aiming for stability from now on as the 27-year-old claimed during the post-game press conference.

We’re 2-4, we’re trying to find ourselves, we’re trying to find wins. We know we have to be better going forward.

Burrow credited the defense as they deserved, saying they were majorly responsible for this much-needed victory, that improved them to a 2-4 season standing. As for his participation in Week 7, it’s highly unlikely that the quarterback would sit out the next week’s game against the Cleveland Browns as he didn’t sustain any serious injury and returned back to the field later in the game.
