Joe Burrow is learning to play the piano. The Cincinnati Bengals quarterback claimed it has helped to heal his throwing arm quicker.
During a recent sit-down with Ben Felderstein of Complex Sports, Burrow spoke about various subjects. Naturally, the host asked the 27-year-old about the condition of his arm.
Burrow revealed that he took up piano during the offseason while rehabbing, and he wants to get good at it. On top of that, learning the piano helped speed up the healing process.
I’m learning the piano right now; [hopefully], I can get pretty good at that by next offseason. I guess it’ll be pretty tough during the season, but it’s helped my rehab too for my wrist.Joe Burrow told Complex Sports
Following a mixed-bag start to the 2023 season with 5 wins and 5 losses, Burrow was under pressure to deliver. However, while facing the Baltimore Ravens on Week 11, cameras caught him clinching his throwing arm on the sidelines.

Later video evidence revealed that while practicing some throws in between the change of play near the Bengals dugout, Burrow screamed in pain. The medical report deduced that the former first-overall pick tore a ligament in his right wrist.
Jake Browning took over from Burrow until the end of the season. He finished with 4 wins and 3 losses, which took the Bengals’ record to 9-8, finishing last in the AFC North.
Joe Burrow wants to play every game for the Bengals
Browning bagged the No. 1 backup quarterback title because of his performances. As a reward, the Bengals extended his contract for two years. However, he will find his chances limited if Burrow keeps himself fit.
The Pro Bowler wants to play every game if possible and take the Bengals back to the playoffs.
I want to be on the field for all games. I’m at that point in my career where I’ve seen enough ball, and I know myself that I can go out there and play as well as anybody in the game.Joe Burrow added
Unlike the last offseason, in which he missed a chunk due to a sore calf, Burrow participated in all the phases of training camp this time around.
The biggest strides this year are going to be my body and learning how to get through the season, get through practices with my body, feeling tip, top shape. That’s the main focus.Joe Burrow added
Apart from learning the piano, Burrow also made headlines starring for Vogue in Paris. He was also one of the guests at Michael Rubin’s 4th of July White Party.
