Joe Burrow knows how to keep his offensive line happy. The Bengals quarterback surprised his protectors with unique gifts for this year’s Christmas.

2025 was meant to be the Bengals’ redemption year after a disappointing 2024 season. The year began with two wins before tragedy struck. Burrow suffered a turf toe injury, which kept him out for three months. By the time he returned to the roster once more, the Bengals were on the brink of elimination from the playoffs. The Buffalo Bills hit the final nail in the Bengals’ coffin with a 39-34 win in Week 14.

Despite going another year without playoff football, Burrow didn’t break the tradition of gift-giving to his offensive line. ESPN reported that Burrow gifted offensive linemen authentic dinosaur, bear, and mammoth fossils for Christmas. The two-time Comeback Player of the Year reportedly spent well over $100K for his classy gesture.

Burrow invited them to his in Cincinnati. Upon arrival, they saw “an array of old bones mounted on displays at Burrow’s residence.” They picked their gifts depending on their time of arrival and seniority. Bengals center Ted Karras chose a woolly mammoth tusk, an artifact archaeologists estimate to be around 30,000 years old.

I think it speaks to his intelligence and interests and his desire to do something unique. I thought it was really special.

While dinosaur fossils might not appeal to everyone, for Burrow, they spark excitement like he’s the real-life version of Ross Geller from Friends, just richer. Fans got a sneak peek into his hobbies and likenesses in the offseason thanks to Netflix.

Netflix cameras followed Burrow throughout training camp to capture footage for the second season of their acclaimed show ‘Quarterback.’ In one of the episodes, the mic’d up Burrow can be heard talking about a visit to the Museum of Natural History & Science at Cincinnati Museum Center.

There’s this one fossil that proved [Charles] Darwin’s Theory of Evolution.. It’s called the Archaeopteryx. There [are] like 12 of them in the world, we got to see one of those. It’s like a library of fossils they don’t show everyone else.
