Joe Burrow threw two interceptions for the Cincinnati Bengals in a blowout 24-0 loss against the Baltimore Ravens. A disappointed Burrow harshly critiqued his performance after the game.

Both the Ravens and the Bengals entered the Week 15 fixture with only one aim in mind: to win the game and stay alive for playoff qualification. The Bengals needed this win badly, as a loss would have ended their playoff hopes for the third year in a row.

Unfortunately for Bengals fans, their team failed to muster any scoring drives and suffered its tenth defeat of the season, the first time since Burrow’s rookie year (2020). The Pro Bowl signal caller provided a ruthless assessment of his performance against the Ravens and of his season.

We haven’t been a good football team. [We are a] bad football team [that] do losing things. If you’re wanting to compete for championships and be in the playoffs, then number one, your quarterback needs to play better than I did today [against the Ravens].

Joe Burrow told the reporters in the post-game press conference

Burrow completed 25 passes from 39 attempts for 225 yards (64%) and zero touchdowns. On any given Sunday, a quarterback would be proud of those numbers. However, the story wasn’t over, because Burrow threw two picks and nearly lost the ball once.

When your quarterback plays like that, your team is not going to have a chance to win. I’m obviously disappointed in my play today, so I have to be better.

Joe Burrow said

It’s a concerning trend on Burrow’s end. His head doesn’t seem to be in the game. All last week, the media buzzed about his comment that he might leave the Bengals if things didn’t get better. Just days later, he endured one of the toughest losses of his career.

Burrow eventually set the record straight by committing his future to Cincinnati, but nothing is set in stone. Moreover, if he truly decided to leave, then there would be no shortage of teams lining up with offers to sign him.

On the flip side, a section of fans would rather see head coach Zac Taylor relieved of his duties at the end of the season. Brandon Saho, a passionate supporter of Burrow and the Bengals, went on a sizable rant against the organization and coaching staff for squandering the 29-year-old’s prime years.

As a diehard Cincinnati sports fan, I will never forgive the Bengals for wasting Joe Burrow’s career. Truth is nothing has changed. The Super Bowl run was a dream come true. But this franchise has failed to build a winner since. It’s so damn sad. Fans deserve better. Who Dey.

Ja’Marr Chase gave his two cents on Joe Burrow’s performance against the Ravens

Ja’Marr Chase was among the rare Bengals players who capped off a good game. Chase caught 10 passes on 16 targets from Burrow for 132 yards (13.2 yards per catch).

Usually, it’s Burrow who uplifts his teammates after a loss of this caliber. But the tables have turned, and Chase must do the same for his quarterback.

If I’m being honest, I’ve never been in a situation with him where I’ve had to uplift him, but going forward, I might need to because he does it for me. You never know what he might be going through. I might need to start doing that.

It’s unlikely that Chase will be able to match his 2024 tally of 1708 yards, but he has been decent even when Burrow didn’t play through injury. After 13 games, Chase has caught 101 passes for 1147 yards and scored 5 touchdowns.

In 2025, Burrow has played a total of five games, amassing 959 yards with eight touchdowns and four interceptions. There are still two more years remaining in Burrow’s five-year, $275 million contract extension, which he signed in 2023. Since then, his win record is 17-14.
