“A mismatch from the get-go,” Joe Kelly SLAMS Yankees ‘sloppy’ play which boosted Dodgers to World Series victory
Joe Kelly doubles down on Yankees poor play in World Series as he ranks them “8th or 9th best playoff team.”

Joe Kelly delivered a savage response to the New York Yankees vs. Los Angeles Dodgers matchup in the World Series on the ‘BIB on the Go’ podcast. The pitcher boldly stated the Dodgers were a bad matchup for the “sloppy” Yankees, who let their chances slip due to poor execution.
He brutally said how the team didn’t even need to “do anything crazy” to win against the Pinstripes. With their poor defense, LA just “had to play regular Dodger baseball.” While the World Series and the victory parade in LA are already over, Kelly is not letting go of the Yankees’ loss.
In perspective, the NY Yankees had their chance to strike back in both Game 1 and Game 5, but they missed their opportunity due to several miscues. The costly errors in Game 5 led the team to lose their 5-0 lead, driving the Dodgers to their 4-1 World Series win.
He further added salt to their wounds claiming the Cleveland Guardians are a better team overall even though they “played like crap.” Joe Kelly further said that the difference between the teams and talent was blatantly put on display at the World Series.
Further probing into the difference, Kelly noted that even though Dodgers have a star-studded lineup their superstars “aren’t lazy and play hard“. He cited it as the major factor between the two sides that played the World Series.
Social media troll Joe Kelly for thrashing NY Yankees’ World Series performance
Joe Kelly recalled how they celebrated their World Series victory at the Yankee Stadium on Wednesday with a 7-6 record. He spoke about their “sloppy” defense and how it cost them a forced Game 6 at LA.
Kelly said “we all knew” about their shortcoming and often spoke about it in the locker room. Aaron Judge dropping a fly ball, and Gerrit Cole failing to cover first base led the team to lose their lead in Game 5 of the World Series.
However, fans on social media is trolling Joe Kelly for his comments, noting how he did not even do anything to help the team win. One X user noted, “Joe u were not even on the roster bud lol,” while another added, “Buddy didn’t even pitch in the WS.” Check out more reactions below:

The Dodgers deserve to talk all they want because they beat us 4-1 but it’s also hilarious that the guy who didn’t face a single batter in the postseason is doing all the yapping for them

Buddy didn’t even pitch in the WS ?

This guy is so full of himself yet he didn’t even make the roster. Why can’t he just happy they won instead of trying to shit on the Yankees? What a class act

Never seen a guy talk so much and do so little

The Yankees played bad defense and are a bad defensive team but to say the Guardians played better than them is factually incorrect LOL

During the whole World Series and postseason, NY Yankees captain Aaron Judge failed to come out of his slump. While Judge-Juan Soto duo created waves during the regular season, the former could not perform 100% in clutch time.
Now with the World Series having ended, both teams will focus on the free agency. They’ll try to add and re-sign players to boost their already star-studded lineup for another Fall Classic challenge in 2025.
