While it’s quite common for celebrities to engage in election-relation enthusiasm, American rapper Cardi B has found herself the target of mockery from an NFL star. She was rooting for Democratic candidate Kamala Harris, who would have become the first female U.S. President, against the Republican candidate Donald Trump.
It happened on Tuesday night when the news headlines covered the ballot counting of the 2024 Presidential election from the day before. Although Harris was in the lead in the election polls, Trump beat her and returned to power for the second time. Disappointed by the ballot counting, Cardi B took to her social media to endorse the Vice President, hoping for a ‘Hail Mary’ miracle.
“We need a Hail Mary,” wrote the Grammy winner on X.
However, her post quickly caught the attention of the Houston Texans’ star running back and he responded with a chucklesome reaction using the laughing and skull emojis.

Although it was already suggestive that the Pro Bowler is supporting Trump and enjoying the results, he made it evident by sharing another post on X. He posted “ATH” with a fire emoji, referencing Trump’s re-election’s effect on the cryptocurrency market.

Given, that the ‘ATH’ stands for Aethir Coin, whose price is skyrocketing– something Mixon finds very amusing. He also shared another post with “Take off” along with a Chart Increasing emoji, referencing the growth of the cryptocurrency market.

Joe Mixon shines in first season with Texans
As for his performance in the NFL, the Texans’ star is having a remarkable season after being traded from the Cincinnati Bengals. He recently made history by achieving 100 rushing yards and scoring a touchdown in four out of his first five games in Houston, as WLWT’s Charlie Clifford reported.
While his team stands top in the AFC South with a 6-3 record, Mixon has recorded 126 rushing attempts, 609 yards, six touchdowns, and a 4.8 per carry average. Joining the Texans’ offense has really been advantageous for Mixon and he isn’t missing any chance to utilize.

Though it’s a question whether his former team, the Bengals actually regrets trading him, he indeed found a strong landing spot for him that matches his abilities perfectly. Coming off a surprising loss against the New York Jets, the Texans are next up against one of the strongest NFC teams, the Detroit Lions.
