Joe Rogan is known for discussing a wide range of topics on his hugely popular podcast, The Joe Rogan Experience. The UFC commentator also hosts guests from all walks of life, most recently Elon Musk on episode #2223. Little did the fan clique know, though, that their UFC micsman and veteran podcaster was a nerd undercover. It also comes with an addiction to video games of bygones!

Joe Rogan shared a post on Instagram about the Tesla CEO’s appearance in the post-electoral phase. Donning an “Occupy Mars” t-shirt, it’s common for Elon Musk to dabble in nerd talk. But then Rogan, a top-notch theorist on topics far and wide, veered to the advantages of video games.

We were talking about something that I think is a really good, because people always think that video games are frivolous, …but what you were saying I think that’s really important is it’s so difficult that it requires you to only think about that, and it can like relieve stress…It can take out the rest of the world because it’s so hard…

Elon Musk affirmed that modern un-arcade video games do much for eye-hand coordination and reactionary speed. Rogan and Musk believe that any form of martial arts, video games, and even archery help to calm down the nerves and coordinate.

Jiu-Jitsu and submissions grappling, for example, catch flak for pulling guard and lacking violence. But it’s basically nitpicking and selecting movesets to break guard, overcome in reactionary real-life time, and improve manual dexterity. While combat practitioner Rogan presents the utility of something like Jiu-Jitsu, he also slips in other details of ‘nerdgasm.’

I was on news radio, all of the writers were super nerds. And they had a LAN set up at the studio where they all played Quake. And I would go in with the writers and just kind of hang out with them. We’d get silly. And then we would all start playing video games and playing Quake against each other. And I got addicted, like hardcore. Like hardcore. I got a T1 line installed in my house…I went hardcore.

Rogan said he went full-on nerd, went to Fry’s Hardware, bought motherboards, and made his computers. MMA fan cliques would agree there isn’t anything less machismo about that. Look to hard-chin boxer/BMF Max Holloway for that. “Blessed” does Kick stream gaming, and yet KOs people with acute manual dexterity.

All in all, it’s these little quirky tidbits and exchanges that have made JRE the jewel it is today. The Rogan-Musk kinship is one for the books, too. Rogan also had some sage information dump on his friend and tech billionaire.

Joe Rogan claims Elon Musk knew the winner of the US election ‘4 hours before the results’

Joe Rogan recently claimed that Elon Musk knew – hours before anyone else – that Donald Trump would be entering his second term as President of the United States. It is all thanks to an app he created that focused on US election information. Musk is one of the biggest backers of Trump in 2024 and is a close friend of both.

As a matter of fact, Rogan credited his urging during an episode before to his endorsement of Trump. Trump has been re-elected after campaigning hard against Kamala Harris, and the implications of this seismic are far and wide.

Speaking on ‘JRE’ Show #2226 – w/ Theo Von, he said Elon Musk knew as the poll results were running in. The tech giant and the podcaster have discussed the implications of a Kamala Harris presidency before. The X owner believes the social media platform may not be allowed to exist if Harris becomes US president.

Since Musk acquired X more than two years ago, there has been a significant exodus of advertisers from it. The billionaire has described this as a boycott and believes Donald Trump could help lift it. Musk was also at the Mar-a-Lago GOP Nominee election watch party with the President-elect and close allies. Only time will tell if Musk’s involvement in the Trump government will result in a better life in the US.
