As per reports, they edited the genomes of modern gray wolves to incorporate key genetic traits of the extinct dire wolf. This process resulted in the birth of three healthy pups named Romulus, Remus, and Khaleesi. They are residing in a protected ecological preserve. This development is part of Colossal’s broader mission to leverage genetic engineering for species de-extinction and biodiversity restoration.

As Musk mentioned, the company is also working on projects to revive other extinct species. This includes prehistoric animals such as the woolly mammoth, Tasmanian tiger, and dodo. As expected, the hype around this new development is massive, and Joe Rogan is definitely intrigued to learn more.
