Popular UFC commentator Joe Rogan hosts one of the most talked-about podcast shows in the world, Joe Rogan Experience. Over the years, he has welcomed a diverse range of fascinating guests to his show. Currently, his podcast is known for featuring notable personalities, including figures like Donald Trump and Mark Zuckerberg.

Recently, Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg appeared on the Joe Rogan Experience, where he and Rogan discussed a variety of intriguing topics. A few days before Zuckerberg’s episode, Rogan hosted American comedian Theo Von. During that episode, Rogan shared insights about Zuckerberg’s involvement in Jiu-Jitsu and how he believes it has impacted the Meta CEO’s life.

Mark Zuckerberg started doing jiu-jitsu and nothing turns you into a libertarian like jiu-jitsu. Nothing turns you into a person who values hard work, and discipline, and struggle like jiu-jitsu. It’s an exposure of character. Nothing else is like it. You expose character in a way that’s almost impossible, even with other martial arts

Interestingly, there was an occasion when he sustained serious injuries during a training session while preparing for these competitions. However, there are positive aspects to his involvement, as highlighted by UFC commentator Joe Rogan.

According to Rogan, who is an MMA practitioner himself, regular training in combat sports offers numerous benefits. In Zuckerberg’s case, the UFC commentator noted that, in addition to improving his physical appearance, training has also broadened the Meta CEO’s perspective on various topics. Specifically, he mentioned that practicing BJJ reveals one’s character and contributes to personal development.

Notably, he and Tesla CEO Elon Musk engaged in discussions about a potential MMA fight between them. As a result, both personalities even participated in training sessions with experienced MMA fighters. However, the fight has not taken place to date, but this has not dampened Zuckerberg’s enthusiasm for an MMA fight.

I want to… And I think I probably will, but we’ll see. 2025 is going to be a very busy year on the AI side. I think the idea of having a competition, you really need to get into the headspace of ‘I’m going to fight someone this week.’ So, I need to figure this out because I don’t know how with everything that’s going on in AI, how I’m going to have like a week or two where I can just get into this like, ‘I’m going to fight someone [mindset]’. It’s good training and I would like to [fight] at some point

Despite his eagerness to fight, the Meta CEO is uncertain about when his MMA match will take place. Zuckerberg mentioned that his busy schedule, especially due to his work in AI, contributes to this uncertainty. Additionally, he is in discussions about leveraging his AI expertise to tackle ongoing issues related to UFC rankings.
