Over the years, the Czech fighter has shared various aspects of his traits and habits with the public. Recently, during a conversation with Joe Rogan, Prochazka revealed another intriguing detail about his daily lifestyle.

In a recent episode of the JRE MMA Show, Jiri Prochazka appeared and discussed several intriguing topics. When Rogan asked Prochazka about his typical pre-fight activities, the UFC star provided an interesting response.
I was five days sick before the fight so I just watched the Spartans 300, Ong Bak, I watched…. I was hungry for to see something because long time I didn’t see some good (movies)… Doesn’t matter if its good or new, but these old classics… that’s what made the spark inside me.

Rogan, who is used to having many movie stars on his podcast, was surprised to learn about Prochazka’s pre-fight rituals. The former UFC light heavyweight champion mentioned several popular movies, including Spartans 300, and Ong Bak.
Prochazka explained that watching these films before his fights gives him a sense of energy. This unique approach further astonished the JRE host, as fighters typically study their opponents’ fight footage before match day.

As for Prochazka, it was another unconventional activity of his in his day-to-day lifestyle. The former champion also employs unique methods to prepare for his upcoming fights. Notably, ahead of his fight against Alex Pereira, Prochazka entered isolation in a dark room to focus on his preparation. However, he was unable to translate this intense preparation into a strong performance in the octagon.

Jiri Prochazka made his UFC debut in 2020 and made a massive impact by capturing the title. Sadly, an injury forced him to vacate the title. However, he got the opportunity to win title at UFC 295. The Czech fighter faced a formidable opponent in Alex ‘Poatan’ Pereira. Throughout his illustrious UFC career, Prochazka has only lost twice, and on both occasions, Pereira was the one to neutralize him.

Most recently, Prochazka faced off against top contender Jamahal Hill at UFC 311. Following his impressive victory over the American fighter, the ‘Samurai’ shared his thoughts on who he envisions as his next opponent. Surprisingly, despite having been defeated twice, Prochazka expressed his desire to compete against UFC light heavyweight champion Alex Pereira.

The UFC light heavyweight champion is currently scheduled to face Magomed Ankalaev at UFC 313. In the midst of this, Pereira clarified that he would not hesitate to fight any of the top-ranked fighters in the 205-pound division. Now, it remains to be seen how the UFC views the potential trilogy matchup between Pereira and Prochazka.
