NBA star Joel Embiid has been making the headlines lately after his recent reactions towards fans hating him. Even though Embiid has finished in the top five players in the NBA the past three seasons, he is still regarded as one of the most hated players in the game, a fact that he accepts.

Notably, Embiid also claimed that he does not “understand” the reason for fans to hate him. ‘The Process’ made an appearance recently on ‘The Check Ball Show.’

On the Check Ball Show, Joel Embiid said

Embiid further asserted that the fans and the basketball community don’t know what he has been through in his journey to be a top professional basketball player.

However, NBA fans seemed unfazed by Embiid’s words and instead gave him a sounding off on why he is the most hated player in the league. Similarly, one NBA fan even took to X to put forward his views, claiming that Embiid is a harsh player and tries to injure his opponents.

On the contrary, Embiid, who was taken by the 76ers as the third overall choice in the 2014 NBA draft, struggled with persistent foot issues that prevented him from playing for the first two campaigns of his career. Even though he only participated in 31 games during his third season, he nevertheless rose to the top of the league’s player rankings.

Philadelphia Sixers star player Joel Embiid made a bold claim on the Check Ball Show, stating that he does not understand why he is the league’s “most hated player.” Notably, this did not go down well with the NBA community, with fans reminding him on social media regarding the Sixers star being hated in the league.
