Joel Embiid does try to bring in humor during conversations, especially when it is not during the season. The Philadelphia 76ers superstar tried to do the same today before the NBA Finals Game 4, bringing in Paul George into the mix. However, fans are not sure of the outcome of his intentions.
The former league MVP was a guest on ESPN’s NBA Countdown show before Game 4 of the NBA Finals tipped off. Stephen A. Smith asked Embiid what was going through his mind as he might witness the Boston Celtics win the title. Embiid had a candid reply.

While Joel Embiid said, ‘Add some pieces’, he side-eyed George who was sitting beside him. Naturally, Smith and the rest of the ESPN crew caught that troll.
It is no secret that the Philadelphia 76ers are one of the big names on the list of probable destinations for Paul George. They have the cap space to offer him a massive contract. More importantly, they have two All-Stars in Embiid and Tyrese Maxey.
They also get to reconstruct their roster to help the three stars have perfect complimentary players. The 76ers are an open book right now. The perfect place for Paul George to fulfill his dream of being an NBA champion. Nevertheless, fans did not like the approach from Embiid.
Joel Embiid’s side eye leaves fans unsure
One has to wonder if Joel Embiid was trying to suggest that he wants Paul George beside him when the next season starts. Or was he just trolling, as George might not even leave his hometown of Los Angeles? This is why fans were unsure of what Embiid was thinking while side-eyeing the All-Star like that. They know what he did could be construed as tampering.
