Liverpool legend Jamie Carragher is shocked as Joel Embiid towers over him during Champions League Final, Draymond Green joins in

Joel Embiid happens to be one of the best big men in the NBA. Standing at 7 feet tall, his imposing size is a great advantage on the court. However, he may not be the tallest the NBA has seen. But then, he is taller than most people. Former Liverpool legend Jamie Carragher was shocked at their height difference while at the Champions League Final in Wembley.

The Philadelphia 76ers big man was a special guest on the CBS Sports live coverage of the UEFA Champions League at Wembley, England. As soon as host, Kate Abdo introduced him, Jamie Carragher asked Embiid how tall he was. Once Embiid replied, Carragher asked him to stand up so that he could compare their height difference. The former Liverpool legend was shocked to see how tall Embiid was.

Then Carragher asked fellow panelist, Micah Richards to help him beat the height difference. Jamie Carragher got up onto Richards’ shoulder and then could beat last year’s NBA MVP. Showing the gulf in size between the NBA and soccer. The NBA superstar could attend this game as he and his team were out of the playoffs in the 1st round.

Joel Embiid and the panelists then proceeded to watch as his favorite soccer club Real Madrid went on to win the UEFA Champions League for a record-extending 15th time. They beat Borussia Dortmund 2-0 in front of a packed crowd. Interestingly, the Philadelphia 76ers superstar was not the only NBA star present at Wembley.

Draymond Green showed up at Wembley before Joel Embiid

A bit earlier than when Embiid was with the crew, Draymond Green showed up with his son, Draymond Green Jr. It was also revealed that Green knew panelist and soccer legend Thierry Henry from when they met before.

We met back in 2016-17 I was on an NBA trip. I had the honor of meeting him. He's been family to me, took care of me when I've come over to Europe. Got the chance to say hello and I wanted to come by.

It was the first time he and his son were watching any Champions League games live. Even though he was a guest of UEFA, he had to meet Henry who he had known for a long time.

Then Thierry Henry asked Green’s son to predict the Champions League winner, and he rightly predicted Madrid. Henry also allowed Green Jr. to touch the Champions League trophy.

Draymond Green had just wrapped up the Inside the NBA coverage he was a part of in the playoffs. The Golden State Warriors superstar suggested to the CBS panel that their show is as good banter and chemistry-wise as Inside the NBA.
