After beating the defending champs, Embiid taunts the Boston fans

It is very hard for the 76ers’ franchise player, Joel Embiid, to hide his hatred for the Boston fans. The Philadelphia 76ers entered the game against the Boston Celtics at TD Garden as heavy underdogs but left as decisive winners. It left the crowd stunned as their boos engulfed the arena. As the final minutes of the game concluded and the 76ers sat comfortably with a lead, Embiid began taunting the fans in the stands.

Embodying the “Grinch” this Christmas, the masked Joel Embiid, along with his teammates, put on a spectacular show. In the end, it resulted in an upset 118-114 win over the defending NBA champions. After scoring 27 points on an impressive 4-of-5 shooting from beyond the arc, Embiid decided to provoke the fans even further.

As the outcome of the game became clear, fans began abandoning their seats and walking out of the arena. This gave the spiteful Embiid a perfect opportunity to wave them goodbye. Boston fans are known for being highly vocal and creating an intensely charged atmosphere within the arena. But little did they know that uber competitors like Joel Embiid actually thrive in that environment.

At this point, waving goodbye to opposing teams has become one of Embiid’s signature celebrations. Every time Philadelphia 76ers knocks out a team in the playoffs, one can be sure to witness “The Process” waving the bench goodbye.

Joel Embiid takes great pleasure knowing his teammate shares his deep dislike for Boston

In the Philly’s victory over the defending champions, Caleb Martin emerged as the unsung hero. Martin had a great performance. He sinked a staggering career-high seven three pointers that resulted in a season high 23 points for the Martin. It earned him the title, “Boston Killer”. His teammate, Joel Embiid had high praises for his teammate in a post-game locker room interview.

He’s playing against Boston. He hates them as much as I do, I guess I’ll take it. Nah, but he was great. I like it when he’s not thinking. Tonight, he was just not thinking about it, every time he had the ball, shoot or drive, obviously, he made his shots. We need him to keep doing that and building that confidence.

Joel Embiid has made his detestation of Boston very clear publicly. When he was asked last year if he will be tuning in to watch the NBA finals between the Boston Celtics and the Dallas Mavericks, Embiid stated, “I can’t stand them, I hate Boston.”

Caleb Martin is no stranger to demolishing the Celtics either. As a Miami Heat player during the 2022-23 season, he was instrumental in defeating the Celtics in the Eastern Conference Finals to advance to the NBA Finals. Additionally, an unknown fact most fans may not know is that Martin has shot exceptionally well from beyond the arc against the Boston Celtics. Hence, the title “Boston Killer” seems more apt.
