Joey Bosa joining Bills instead of signing to play with brother Nick has 49ers fans losing it – “49ers be folding man!”
San Francisco 49ers fans were hoping to see the franchise sign Joey Bosa so that he could play alongside his brother Nick Bosa.

Heading into this offseason, the San Francisco 49ers knew they had to make some wholesale changes to their squad. They cannot pay everyone with Brock Purdy and other younger stars waiting in the wings. They lost some defensive pieces but could have got some prime veterans, such as Joey Bosa and Von Miller.
The Buffalo Bills released 35-year-old Von Miller after three seasons with the team. They believe they needed to get younger, and the star pass rusher’s health wasn’t helping the cause. The Los Angeles Chargers let Joey Bosa go for similar reasons, but he is still 29 years old.
His statistics might not do justice to the way he plays. When healthy, the 280 Lb pass rusher collapses one side of the pocket while drawing multiple defenders towards him. This would be the perfect situation for the San Francisco 49ers.
If he collapses one side of the line, it will help his brother Nick Bosa to feast on the other side. That would have been a fearsome duo to face. With their mother joining many fans to demand the 49ers unite the brothers, news trickled in about his situation.

This decision to join the Buffalo Bills is not without merit. The franchise gets a younger Pro Bowl pass rusher for half what they would pay a leading star. At the same time, it is a prove it deal, meaning Joey Bosa would have to do everything he can to stay healthy.
49ers fans in flames after Joey Bosa signs with Bills
This news, though, did not sit well with San Francisco 49ers fans. Considering all they have lost in this offseason, this was the one move they were hoping for. Watching the Bosa brothers go at opposing quarterbacks at the same time would have been something they would pay top dollar to watch.
But now, they have seen their franchise fumble on signing free agents having lost more players than they could count on both hands. With their hopes shattered, they took to social media to vent their frustrations. Check out examples of those comments below.

There is no taking away from the fact that those fans are livid. Losing a franchise stalwart was one major hit. Now, to see hopes of seeing the Bosa brothers play together being washed away was too much for them. The amount of views and comments on those news tweets show how much this shook them.
San Francisco 49ers’ Super Bowl window closed for now
Those disgruntled fans have no option than to wait and see how their front office works to replenish their drained-out squad. Losing that many Pro Bowl caliber players in one off season is bound to impact their chances at a Super Bowl run.

Therefore, it could be safe to say that at least for next season, the San Francisco 49ers can forget about contending for a Super Bowl. They do not have the squad strength to battle against the top teams in the NFC, let alone the rest of the league.
This offseason, Brock Purdy‘s extension is their primary concern. If they can get the price right, they can then allocate resources and look to build this team. However, with their approach tilting towards getting younger, it is likely that a few more vets could leave.
The likes of George Kittle and others are possibly targets for next year. The tight end is set to be a free agent and unless he can agree to a reduced deal, there are chances the team might move on from him too.
There is a possibility that the San Francisco 49ers team that went to the Super Bowl will not be around. They have already implemented major changes to remain competitive in the long run. Then maybe with cash in hand, they can sign Joey Bosa to unite with Nick Bosa next season.
