John Cena‘s farewell tour will be the biggest talking point in professional wrestling in 2025. There is still much ambiguity around his opponents, the events & locations he will compete in, and what his aim for that year will be. However, the Cenation leader finally revealed when the tour would start, how frequently he plans to appear, and when it ends.

Cena recently gave an interview with Collider to promote the upcoming season 2 of Peacemaker. He revealed that his retirement tour would begin after the filming of the season has wrapped up, which would likely be until the end of 2024. After that, he had given the entire calendar year of 2025 to professional wrestling and WWE.

The former WWE Champion said that he would begin his retirement tour in January, and he will end it in December. He will be working 36 dates in the upcoming year, which will take place all over the world. John Cena wanted to do so to pay thanks and express gratitude to WWE audiences around the planet.

Cena has already expressed a desire to compete in the United Kingdom during this retirement tour. These 36 dates will likely comprise shows in several other countries, considering that WWE has gone all out on its international Premium Live Events and international house shows.

There is no doubt that Cena will be one of the most sought-after opponents in WWE during the next calendar year. Several superstars like Matt Cardona, CM Punk, and Bron Breakker have already expressed interest in facing the erstwhile Doctor of Thuganomics. The latest name to join this list is the Architect Seth Rollins.

During an interview with the Buffalo Bills, Rollins stated that Cena was one to do things small and not to be understated. Anybody who had seen his work in WWE or any of his movies knew that the 47-year-old had a larger-than-life personality. The Raw superstar believed that the wrestling veteran would want his last year to be his best year and wanted to see what he would bring to the table.

Seth Rollins wanted to step into the ring with Cena one final time before he hung up his boots for good. The two had a highly entertaining feud during the summer of 2015, and fans would surely love to see them run it back once again.
