“You’re Doing It, I’m Available,” John Cena Reveals the Genre of Films He’d like to Enter That He’s Never Done Before
Having dedicated most of his time in making action-based movies, John Cena is very much interested in landing a horror role.

John Cena is prioritizing WWE for the year with limited outside commitments. However, that doesn’t stop him from realizing what he’s left to achieve as an actor. Having made his big screen debut in The Marine in 2006, the Massachusetts-born star has never acted in a horror movie. At the recent fan expo in Philadelphia, he was asked about it.
The Undisputed WWE Champion was inquired about if he’s interested in such a genre where he could kill others, being a villain or vice versa. Cena acknowledged the idea by saying that he’d be open to such an unprecedented opportunity. The 48-year-old even hinted to the filmmakers that he’s available for the role. Up until a few months ago, Cena was juggling between shooting Matchbox in Budapest and WWE.
He even faced the music of an irate wrestling audience for skipping the entire build to his last-ever Elimination Chamber match that he went on to win. Another one of Cena’s big Hollywood projects, season 2 of Peacemaker, will premiere on HBO Max on August 21.

……….so I would just want to be in a horror film. If you’re out there and you’re doing it, I’m available.

While the Ricky Stanicky actor could completely revert his focus back to the film-making business after 2025, he’s in the midst of a WWE farewell tour. The clock is ticking down on his remaining time as an in-ring performer.
As many as 24 more appearances are left as a defiant-yet-morally corrupt Cena marches ahead. However, the fans don’t seem to be loving every bit of his ongoing heel turn, which is devoid of any deep-rooted cause.
How did John Cena fare at Saturday Night’s Main Event?
John Cena continued his winning streak as he dispatched R-Truth at Saturday Night’s Main Event. During the closing moments, The Franchise Player showed signs of regretting his evil arc but ultimately went low on the 53-year-old vet, to no one’s surprise. Truth, who pulled up to SNME in Cena’s merch, couldn’t keep his word of beating some hustle, loyalty, and respect back into the Hollywood mogul.

Later on in the show, Cena caused a disqualification in the world heavyweight title match between Jey Uso and Logan Paul. That was followed by Cody Rhodes making his return to nullify ‘The Cenation Leader’s exploits. Paul tried downing Rhodes but was caught by Uso.

‘The American Nightmare’ would then challenge Cena and Paul to a tag team match at Money in the Bank, which has been made official by WWE CCO Triple H. ‘The Prototype’ last defended his title against Randy Orton at Backlash and might not do so until the Night of Champions on June 28. Cena has been added to the forthcoming Saudi Arabia-hosted PLE; that’d be his first since losing to Solo Sikoa at Crown Jewel 2023.
When will John Cena have his last WWE match?
While it’s still a long way to go until that point, WWE reportedly has John Cena‘s last match figured out. He’s slated to wrestle for the final time in front of his own hometown of Boston on December 13, which would likely be another Saturday Night’s Main Event show.

As of now, there’s no word on who he could face that night. Out of everyone, the WWE Universe is clamoring for CM Punk to reignite his feud with The Franchise Player as soon as possible. The company does plan on putting it together when the time is right.
More details regarding John Cena's last match in Boston in December—those I spoke to today said there would be multiple scheduled events, basically what you are seeing in Tampa for the upcoming "takeover."

They locked horns for a while inside the Elimination Chamber in February. Back then, The Best in the World passed out to the STF. Punk, by that point, had been mauled and cheap-shotted by Seth Rollins and couldn’t resist more. The most probable destination for a Cena vs. Punk match seems to be SummerSlam.
