Former WWE Chairman and CEO Vince McMahon has once again been shown love by John Cena, who enjoyed his heyday under McMahon.

Prior to winning his seventeenth world title at WrestleMania 41, John Cena said in an NY Times profile that he still loves Vince McMahon. While noting he didn’t want to downplay allegations of any kind that were levied upon the former WWE chairman, the latter is someone whom Cena loves wholeheartedly. Cena also added that his evaluation of McMahon will upset a number of people.
Quite recently, the 48-year-old was asked by US Weekly what he thinks about the negative press that comes with his backing of the notorious WWE founder. Cena, in a laid-back cadence, asserted that everyone is entitled to their opinions. The Cenation Leader also said that construing things in a certain way they feel like is the right of every human being.
Everybody’s entitled to their opinion. Just like I’m entitled to have an emotional connection to somebody

The reigning Undisputed WWE Champion also mentioned that the obvious outrage among fans for Cena’s steadfast allegiance to Mr. McMahon doesn’t surprise him. The latter, 79, is currently facing legal action from plaintiff Janel Grant, an ex-WWE employee, who filed a lawsuit against McMahon and other senior executives on grounds of se*ual trafficking.
Grant’s proposal to amend her complaint was recently accepted by a federal judge in Connecticut. Ever since McMahon’s WWE ouster, the promotion has largely refrained from even bringing McMahon up in official briefings and interviews. Cena is someone who hasn’t dumped on The Genetic Jackhammer yet. It’d be interesting to see if it ever changes.
John Cena on facing difficulties with his demanding WWE schedule
For the first time since that window in 2017-18, John Cena is working a pretty heavy WWE schedule, almost like a full-timer. He has competed in every single PLE this year, with WrestleMania being the one where he beat Cody Rhodes to become a record-breaking 17-time world champion.

At the recent Upfront with Amazon event, The Franchise Player got asked how he’s carrying the weight of being the WWE Champion. Cena, jokingly, claimed that his entire body hurts pulling off the in-ring aspect of being in the position he’s in at the moment.

Speaking of how he feels mentally, the Peacemaker actor said that the emotions will start kicking in as they head into December, which is when Cena’s last WWE match is scheduled. In another question, Mr. Hustle, Loyalty, and Respect talked about closing an iconic 25-year-long rivalry with Randy Orton this past weekend at Backlash.
The Prototype spoke fondly of what they were able to deliver for the fans one last time. Even though Cena resorted to underhanded tactics to down Orton, it was expected given the villainous arc Cena’s on. Now that the book is closed on this rivalry, the Ricky Stanicky actor can shift his focus to settling the score with someone who famously calls Cena his childhood hero—R-Truth.
When will John Cena appear next on WWE television?
With 24 more dates left in John Cena‘s ongoing retirement tour, WWE has meticulously booked The Last Real Champion for its upcoming shows. The next advertised appearance for Cena doesn’t fall before Saturday Night’s Main Event itself. He’s expected to face R-Truth at the NBC special WWE event.

The seeds for their match were planted during the post-show press conference at Backlash, where The Franchise Player delivered an AA to Truth in front of all the press members present there. After Saturday Night’s Main Event, Cena will return to SmackDown on May 30 and June 6.
In all possibility, The Cenation Leader will compete at Money in the Bank on June 7. Next, he’ll turn up to Raw a couple of days later. The remainder of his dates are yet to be released. Cena’s next big feud is expected to be with CM Punk, who teased taking the Undisputed WWE title off the actor after Backlash.
