John Cena is considered one of the strongest wrestlers WWE has ever had in its long history. He has some impressive feats to his name, and many wrestlers, like Big Show, have openly said that he was the strongest wrestler ever. As he nears the end of his career, The Leader of Cenation revealed how important workouts are, not only in his career as a wrestler but in real life as well.

While speaking with People, John Cena talked about being in the final years of his wrestling career. Although he admitted that his time in WWE might be over soon, he would never let that diminish his love for keeping himself in perfect shape. He stated that his training varies each day, and he always strives to be his best every day.

The 16-time world champion has set his goal to remain physically active until his mind says otherwise. He is already looking forward to working on his impressive physique for the next 40 years. He expressed a unique desire to be able to perform a parallel squat in his late 80s. Although Cena used to work out much more often in his peak wrestling days, his routine has now changed. He lifts weights four days a week, and on the remaining days, he focuses on improving his flexibility and mobility.

My training used to be based on every single day, be the strongest you can for that day. Now I have my eyes set 40 years down the road. My goal is to be physically active until I can't. I put a number in my head of like, I'd like to be physically active into my late 80s or 90s, to do a parallel squat in my late 80s.

Cena appeared at WrestleMania XL and assisted Cody Rhodes in securing a historic victory over Roman Reigns. On Raw after WrestleMania, he helped The Miz and R-Truth win against Judgment Day in a 6-man tag team match. It is still unclear when the WWE Universe will see the future Hall of Famer in the squared circle again.

While speaking on the Gabby AF podcast, the rising star talked about how John Cena surprised him with a phone call when he was 15. Hendry remembered talking to him for 10 minutes and believing that he was going to win the world title at WrestleMania.

John Cena talked to me on the phone for ten minutes. We talked about his career and I told him, ‘I think you’re gonna win the title at WrestleMania’ and he did. I think there is something full circle that could happen with John Cena, I don’t know, I think we’re gonna cross paths.

He truly believed that one day they would cross paths, and wrestling would come full circle for them. However, he wasn’t the only one with the dream of facing his idol, Cena, as Austin Theory also desired to compete against him. Of course, his dream became reality when he defeated Cena at WrestleMania 39.
