John Cena Sr. wants Bobby Lashley to win the rumored Wrestlemania 37 match
McIntyre is rumored to face Lashley at Wrestlemania 37
John Cena’s father wants current WWE Champion Bobby Lashley to retain his title at Wrestlemania 37. Reportedly, Lashey will be putting his title on the line against Drew McIntyre. It has been speculated that Lashley’s reign might come to an end against McIntyre.
The All Mighty defeated the Miz on the March 1 episode of WWE Raw, to win his first WWE Championship. WWE had been pushing Lashley for a long time and his reign has been well received by the WWE Universe.
John Cena Sr. recently highlighted his concerns with the rumored booking. While appearing for an interview with Boston Wrestling MWF’s Dan Mirade, Cena Sr. was worried that a loss might affect Lashley’s place on the WWE roster.
“If they did [book Drew McIntyre to win], Lashley would become a mid-carder. If they pull the rug out from under him now at WrestleMania, he’s gonna go right down to mid-card, and then it’ll be bye bye, Bobby. That’s the sad part about it. You take an athlete of that caliber, doing the job, and then bing, bing, bing. It just doesn’t make sense.”
Lashley vs. McIntyre isn’t confirmed for Wrestlemania 37
The match between Drew McIntyre and Bobby Lashley for the WWE Championship has not been confirmed yet. Similarly, some more matches that have been rumored are:
- The Miz and John Morrison vs. Damian Priest and Bad Bunny
- The Fiend vs. Randy Orton in a cinematic match
- Braun Strowman vs. Shane McMahon
- Charlotte Flair vs. Asuka for the Raw Women’s Championship
Two matches for Wrestlemania 37 have been officially announced by WWE. Sasha Banks will defend her WWE Smackdown Women’s Championship against Bianca Belair. Roman Reigns will put his title on the line against Edge. This match might change as Reigns will be defending it against Daniel Bryan at WWE Fastlane. If Bryan wins the match we could see a triple-threat match at Mania.
