John Cena Sr. dislikes WWE Hall of Fame decision
WWE Hall of Fame
John Cena Sr. feels that WWE has made a big mistake with the Hall of Fame event. According to him, a prestigious ceremony like the Hall of Fame induction should not be held without the fans in attendance.
The 2020 WWE Hall of Fame ceremony was postponed due to the Covid-19 pandemic. The Class of 2020 will be inducted along with the Class of 2021. The ceremony will air on the WWE Network on 6th April, with no fans in attendance.
John Cena Sr., while speaking to Boston Wrestling MWF said that the WWE Superstars deserve to receive their inductions in front of the fans.
“You know what, if they don’t allow fans to attend, I think it’s a disservice to those who are being inducted. I think that it’s time now they rethink the process because it is a fan thing. It’s only for those people, men and women, who have earned their right and the privilege to be noticed beyond everyone else into that Hall of Fame, and it should be enjoyed by everyone. If you don’t have fans there and you don’t have people, it’s kind of like watching a wrestling match without anybody there, and kind of like a bad bottle of Fabo Pop [soda]. If it’s not right, it goes flat.”
WWE Hall of Fame Class of 2020 and 2021
The Class of 2020 includes two WWE teams – NWO (Hulk Hogan, Kevin Nash, Scott Hall and Sean Waltman) and The Bella Twins (Nikki and Brie). The Class also includes The British Bulldog, JBL, Jushin “Thunder” Liger and William Shatner.
The Class of 2021 inductees features:
- Eric Bischoff
- The Great Khali
- Molly Holly
- Rob Van Dam
Batista was supposed to be inducted as a part of the Class of 2020. But he revealed that due to prior commitments his induction has been postponed.
