John Cena is a successful movie star and a great professional wrestler. He is set to end his career in wrestling by the end of 2025 to pursue a full-time career in Hollywood. However, recently, Cena was asked about his post-retirement plans, and he revealed that he is interested in starring in a film with his iconic rival, CM Punk.
In an interview with Collider, Cena expressed interest in making an action-comedy film with Punk. He highlighted the potential for great chemistry between them, offering fans something special from their rivalry. Cena also mentioned that the film could blend Easter eggs and their unique charisma. It would undoubtedly be an exciting experience for fans.
The feud between The Best in the World and The Cenation Leader has been one of the most iconic rivalries in WWE history. Many believe it was the reason for the rise of The Second City Saint in the Stamford-based promotion. Punk also gave a shout-out to the 16-time World Champion in his interview after Monday Night Raw’s Netflix debut.
Even though the chances to see both stars in the same movie are low, fans can see them in a match together next month in Indiana. Both Punk and Cena have declared themselves for the Royal Rumble match, vowing to make history at WrestleMania 41. It will be interesting to see what will happen when they face off at the PLE.
Bully Ray lays out a plan for the end of the retirement tour of John Cena
John Cena is expected to hang up his boots for good after his last match in December 2025. While WWE has not announced any special event or PLE for the month as of now, there are chances that the company would advertise a show around Cena’s retirement. However, former WWE superstar Bully Ray has an exciting plan for the last ride of The Cenation Leader.
Speaking on Busted Open Radio, Ray proposed that WWE could schedule Cena’s final two matches at Madison Square Garden and TD Garden in Boston. He highlighted that such a scenario would be an incredible moment for the 16-time champion. Having his last matches in his hometown and the historic MSG arena in New York would make it even more special.
Ray emphasized that this setting would be the perfect way to honor Cena’s legendary career. While the idea sounds exciting, it remains uncertain whether it will come to pass. Speculation is also swirling around Cena’s final WWE opponent, with names like Randy Orton, CM Punk, and Drew McIntyre being highly discussed. Fans are eagerly awaiting to see which of these stars will face Cena in his last match.
