John Cena wears his Peacemaker costume in public
John Cena as Peacemaker
16-time WWE World Champion John Cena was recently spotted wearing his Peacemaker costume in public. He took to Twitter to explain the reason behind doing the same.
Cena had a unique Wrestlemania record, which was broken due to his Peacemaker commitments. He had appeared at every Wrestlemania since 2003, but at the 37th edition he failed to appear. This was mainly due to his filming commitments.
Suicide Squad director recently posted John’s photo on Twitter, wearing his Peacemaker costume in public. He mentioned that Cena was wearing the costume on a day off from filming.
Responding to the tweet, Cena explained the reason behind wearing the costume on an off-day.
John Cena will be seen in huge Hollywood franchisees
Cena has been consistently establishing himself in Hollywood. His first appearance on the big screen was in WWE Studios’ The Marine, which released in 2006. This was during the time when Cena has established himself as the top superstar in WWE.
Over the years, his appearances on WWE TV reduced as he started focusing on his Hollywood career. His last appearance was at WWE Wrestlemania 36, where he lost to “The Fiend” Bray Wyatt in a Firefly Fun House match.
Cena will now be seen in two big Hollywood franchisees – Fast and Furious & Suicide Squad. His character in Suicide Squad – Peacemaker, is also getting his own series on HBO Max.
