2x major champion John Daly HOSPITALIZED after emergency hand surgery, fans pray for speedy recovery of golf legend
John Daly has been hospitalized in Tampa, Florida and has undergone an emergency hand surgery after he suffered an injury to his left hand.

In a shocking twist of events, golfer John Daly revealed that he has been hospitalized. The two-time major champion announced this on his social media account and claimed that he underwent an emergency hand surgery in Tampa, Florida.
The 58-year-old veteran is a fan favorite. He has amassed a huge fan following through his unorthodox swing, fashion sense and charismatic personality.
Taking to his Instagram account on Tuesday, Daly thanked the doctors at the hospital for his treatment. In a story, he would claim that he would be back playing in no time. He would also give a thumbs up while his left hand was heavily bandaged due to the surgery.
What caused this injury is something that is unknown at the moment. He was recently seen at the PNC Championship along with his son John Daly II. During that event, the father-son duo of Daly finished T8 while shooting a score of 20-under par.

John Daly being hospitalized in 2025 for having a hand injury was probably not many fans had expected. The news of him undergoing an emergency hand surgery left the fans across social media in shock.
There were many who would pray for his speedy recovery. Reacting to his post on Instagram, popular Football host and WWE commentator Pat McAfee wrote “God speed legend” while paying his tributes to him.
On X, similar messages from fans were seen. There were some who even cracked light-hearted jokes about how he probably got injured.

This is though not the first time where John Daly’s health has been the talking point. In September 2020, the 5-time PGA Tour winner revealed that he was suffering from bladder cancer.
He would later undergo a procedure to remove the aggressive cancer from his body. The golfer later revealed that his doctor informed him that there was an 85 percent chance that it comes back. To avoid this relapse, he was instructed to improve his unhealthy lifestyle which consists of him smoking and drinking Diet Cokes.
Only time will now reveal what actually happened to this hand and when will he come back. At the moment, Daly competes on the PGA Champions Tour, the senior circuit of the PGA Tour.
