The 2024 John Deere Classic will take place from July 4-7 at TPC Deere Run in Silvis, Illinois. The tournament features an $8 million purse and will award 500 FedEx Cup points to the winner.
Sepp Straka is the defending champion, having won in 2023 with a final round 62 to defeat Brendon Todd and Alex Smalley by two shots. Jordan Spieth, a two-time John Deere Classic winner in 2013 and 2015, is making his first appearance at the event since 2015. As for the most wins at the event, Steve Stricker holds the record who won it three times in a row from 2009-2011.
The field features 156 players, including Spieth, Straka, and Jason Day, who is playing the event for the first time since 2011. Other notable players include Im Sungjae, the betting favorite, and Aaron Rai, who finished runner-up at the Rocket Mortgage Classic.
TPC Deere Run, a par-71 course measuring 7,289 yards, has been the host venue since 2000. The course features four par 5s, fourteen par 4s, and par 3s ranging from 158 to 215 yards. Water comes into play on several holes, making it a challenging test for the players.
