John Kavanagh makes huge case for “Diaz trilogy” for Conor McGregor’s epic return in 2022

UFC Megastar Conor McGregor may return to fight and it’s his head coach, John Kavanagh’s word that McGregor is almost complete with the physical requirement of recovery from the injury sustained in his last loss. McGregor was last seen at UFC 264 when he fractured his shin bone at the end of the first round and therefore lost the fight due to Doctor Stoppage in a trilogy against Dustin Poirier.

In an interview with FOX Sports Australia, coach Kavanagh talked about various things including Conor McGregor’s return as well as the upcoming UFC PPV main event between former UFC champion Robert Whittaker and current Champion Israel Adesanya. In the midst, Kavanagh revealed what he finds as a “fan favourite” returning match for McGregor.

“It’s always a big occasion, there’s not much like a McGregor fight week and a McGregor fight night… it doesn’t really matter you say any name and it’s exciting, probably the Diaz trilogy would be a fan favourite, but let’s get him back healthy, back ready and back competing, says Kavanagh.
