Recently, John Mcenroe faced the wrath of the fans after a joke backfired on him. He had made a joke about the WTA No.1 Iga Swiatek, which the fans found to be very offensive. The Polish champ continued her impressive form this year as she won her fifth singles Grand Slam title in Paris. 

After a second-round scare, Swiatek did not even drop a set and even dominated her way into the finals to win the game in straight sets. Recently commentator Mary Carillo brought up an endorsement deal that Lancome offered to Swiatek, which never came to be. Lancome, a huge makeup brand, had actually approached the Pole, who rejected the offer citing that she hardly ever wears makeup.

Earlier this week, Iga Swiatek had broken many milestones as she beat Jasmine Paolini in an easy French Open finals to win her third consecutive French Open title and fourth overall. She had a perfect run in the clay season and ended on a winning streak of 21-1 with 19 consecutive wins to her name.

Now, the Pole heads onto the grass courts and hopes to replicate the same in Wimbledon. Having never had a great outing in the Championships, the 22-year-old would hope to make some impact. However, she recently withdrew from the Econtrans Ladies Open in Berlin, a WTA 500 that is set on the grass.

Having played in almost all the clay tournaments without any rest, Swiatek had three consecutive title wins, with little to no rest in between. If not for her, the Pole has to take some rest for her body to recover on time.
